Having recently refurbished a large sitting room in a Victorian house in Bengeo, Hertford, our clients were so pleased with the results that Jenny Junior Interiors were subsequently commissioned to redesign their Guest Bedroom and En-suite Shower Room.
The Shower Room was quite narrow, so we recommended using a light colour palette to increase the appearance of size.
We selected white tiles and pale grey units, with a contrasting darker grey mosaic border.
Specification and Products
We specified a Merlyn Series 10 shower unit with sliding door, this compact design made the maximum use of the space available.
The basin unit and mirrored cabinet were sourced from Laura Ashley’s Marlborough range in Cobblestone pale grey, and we used their Bayswater range for the WC pan, cistern unit and soft close seat.
For the finishing touches we used Miller’s chrome corner shower basket, glass shelf and chrome towel ring.
As with many houses of this age, when the old tiles were removed, we had to build new stud walls and replaster throughout.
Building work can inevitably be noisy and dusty, so our clients went on a cruise while we Project Managed the installation for them.
Working with our skilled team of in-house plumbers, electricians, tilers and decorators the Project was successfully completed in one week.
Our clients were thrilled to return from their cruise to find their old and dated ensuite transformed to a modern and practical shower room in their absence.
Their refurbished Guest Bedroom has now become the Master Bedroom, another happy ending!!
